The project scope consists of Design validation, Detail Engineering and Procurement works for Construction of New Effluent Treatment Facilities (ETF) and Revamp of existing ETF at MAA, MAB & SHU Refineries.

The new ETFs at MAA & MAB refineries are designed for a flow capacity of 818 m³/hr & 900 m³/hr respectively. The overall project value is USD 200 million approx.

The treatment unit processes comprise of Oil water separation by TPI/ CPI & DAF (Primary treatment); Biological treatment by carrousel type Activated sludge process (Secondary treatment); Filtration by continuous flow Sand filters (Tertiary treatment); Caustic scrubbing system for H₂S emission control and Dewatering of sludge.

All detail engineering for the project is as per Shell DEP standards.
